Bring a Writing Teacher Along on Your Summer Vacation

Have you been scanning travel sites looking for the location of your family’s summer travel adventure? Or filling out the forms (in triplicate!) for summer camp? Maybe your teen has been scouring Craigslist looking for the perfect summer job?

As you make all your plans for the upcoming summer break, don’t leave out learning.

We’ve all read the studies and seen the infographics. If not engaged in educational activities, students can lose up to two months of grade level equivalency during the summer months.

The great news is that you can have a summer full of adventures and still keep your child’s writing skills sharp. Time4Writing’s online curriculum and certified writing teachers go wherever you go – – in the car, on the plane, and even lounging by the pool. (The teachers especially appreciate that one. They love the extra vitamin D!)

Each of the 8-week Time4Writing courses is available on any computer or mobile device. Students get help from experienced writing teachers, and parents can truly relax knowing that their child is getting the highest quality instruction plus personalized feedback on every assignment.

High schoolers have access to any of the following this summer:

  • High School Writing Mechanics – covers the technical areas of writing (such as punctuation and parts of speech) that high school students need to master before moving on to paragraphs and then essays

  • High School Paragraphs – students will learn the parts of the paragraph (topic, supporting, and concluding sentences) and the types of paragraphs (narrative, descriptive, expository, and persuasive)

  • High School Essay Writing – students will explore the essay writing process from the pre-writing stage to the revision stage

  • High School Writing for Research Papers – students will plan and develop one research report, practicing and mastering each step of the research process before moving on to the next step.

Time4Writing’s teachers don’t take summers off. They are ready and waiting to help your high schooler keep their learning muscles active all through the sun-drenched days ahead. Sign up today.
