5 Free Record-Keeping Tools for Homeschooling High School

Hi!

February is a fun month for bargain-hunting homeschool-types like myself. All around the web, homeschoolers are celebrating #FREEBIEFEBRUARY by getting the word out about the tens of thousands of free sites, programs, tools, and resources homeschoolers have access to. Never one to miss out on a chance to celebrate a deal, here is my list of five free record-keeping tools that are helpful to high school homeschool families:

  • Free Homeschool High School Transcript Template Whether you use this template as-is, or as a guideline for building your own, this free tool will be invaluable in helping you think in terms of credits, subjects, and grades for each step of your high school journey.
  • Free Homeschool Credit Planners for College Admissions If your high schooler has post-secondary education plans, this set of credit planners will help you make sure your student is on the right track.
  • Free Community Service Log Homeschoolers have the freedom and opportunity to do even more service activities than the average public schooler. So be sure to track all of them for future cataloging onto transcripts, resumés, and job applications.
  • Free Guide for Writing Course Descriptions When creating a transcript, many homeschool parents and students choose to not only log the titles and grades of the courses they took, but a description of each one. This can be tricky when your curriculum isn’t straightforward. Here’s a free guide for tackling those course descriptions.
  • Free Infographic for Determining Credits per Course In the hybrid-homeschooling world, our students often build a course out of multiple types of resources. This free infographic will help you determine how to log all those sources into something appropriate for a transcript.

If you have other free resources for high school homeschooling that have been helpful on your journey, would you stop by the LetsHomeschoolHighschool.com forum and share your favorite #FEBRUARYFREEBIES, too?

Sincerely,
Kerry Jones, one of your LHSHS Admins
