Brave Writer is the solution to your writing needs for teens.
Help for High School is a semester long self-teaching guide to writing. The exercises develop the rhetorical imagination and teach the expository essay. The digital manual also helps teens learn how to think, argue, and create their own powerful writing style. For more information visit our Help for High School page (where you can download a FREE sample).
The Boomerang is a digital product that features a classic work of fiction each month. These novels are used to teach the mechanics of writing (grammar, spelling, punctuation, and literary elements). In addition to the weekly passages used for copywork and dictation, each issue includes ten "think piece" questions which enhance a student's comprehension of the novel's themes and construction. Learn more about The Boomerang here and download a FREE issue.
And if your teens would enjoy discussing the novels with other teens, check out our Boomerang Book Club. The book club tuition includes The Boomerang issues themselves.
Also, Brave Writer offers online writing classes. They are specially designed with the busy homeschooling parent in mind. Classes last anywhere from four to six weeks. We offer courses that address a specific writing need so that you can take the ones that suit your family throughout the school year.
